Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on the other hand will be banking on the fact that most of its players, including its captain Gautam Gambhir, will be going all out to prove a point to the National Selectors. Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla and Umesh Yadav will try to bring out their best and get noticed once again. Even though predominantly a batsman game, everybody will be eyeing Sunil Narine, the mystery spinner, when he takes up the ball in favour of KKR.
Mumbai Indians vs KKR – The weaknesses
1. MI does not have a star wicket keeper. Aditya Tare is untested and inexperienced
2. Zaheer Khan - Can Zaheer deliver? Injuries and poor form has troubled this highly rated bowler for quite some time now. If Pollard, Harbhjan, Corey Anderson and Pragyan deliver their best, KKR will be targeting Zaheer to strike.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
1. Poor form of Start players – what can be their biggest strength is their weakness too. Gautam Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan had their streak of off form for quite a long time now. Piyush Chawla, on his unlucky days, gets picked up by the opponents for being smashed around. Can they all click together, is the big question
2. Jacques Kallis – Needs a separate mention because of the start that he is. Though one of the greatest all rounder in cricketing history, Kallis is yet to prove a point in IPL. KKR will be heavily dependent on him with bat and ball, both. Whether Kallis can rise to the occasion is to be seen
