Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon closes online complaint system
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon, MCG, has close down it's online grievance system where citizens could effortlessly post their complaints along with a photograph. This comes as a shock at a time when each and every private and public sector organizations are opting for online as an option to reach to a wider audience.

The closed grievance system was the only online system of MCG. However, the MCG Commissioner feels sanitation is a secondary issue and there's nothing to be worried about.

Earlier, the residents could easily file complaints online along with the pictures if they used to face any issue in their neighborhood. The Clean Gurgaon Team is also appalled with the decision of the MCG Commissioner.

The official website took almost a year to build and was gradually exhibiting positive results. The shut down of the website will elevate the issues in the city and residents will have to look for another options to file their complaints.

“Contractors who were not working properly in the respective vicinity were exposed and blackilisted beacause of the online grievance system. Citizens used to upload pictures of garbage and the same was forwarded to the contractors. If failed to do the job, they would not get their payments of that day. Hence, the online system was indeed very helpful”, said a volunteer of the Clean Gurgaon Team as per a report by TOI.

Speaking on the same, Praveen Kumar, MCG Commissioner has said, “My main concern is to ensure that garbage gets lifted and reaches the landfill site. Sanitation website is a secondary issue and can be taken care of later.”
