My friend Pinto: Does Prateik Babbar mirror his past?
The film will soon be released and is expected to do well. Although the cast consists of the younger generation of actors, it is still being talked about.

APART FROM money, fame and security, being an actor also has an added advantage; that of playing numerous parts. Sometimes in the process, the actor comes across many roles that in some way or the other resemble their own life. Sometimes that might help an actor playing the character well or sometimes that is the precise reason why it creates a dilemma. However, what this doing to Prateik Babbar no one knows but we will soon find out after his film My friend Pinto releases.

This film that stars Prateik Babbar in the leading role revolves around the character who has recently lost his mother and how his life changes after it. As we all know, Smita Patil died at a very young age when Prateik was a baby. This might be the reason that Prateik took up the role in the first place. At times mulling over a situation helps and many are saying that this might be the case with the young actor.

Prateik was noticed from the very beggining of his career although in Jaane Tu Jaane Na, his first venture, he played a side character of a recluse. The director of the film, ‘My friend Pinto,’ has been denying any resemblance between Prateik and the character of the film. As reported in Hindustan Times, Raghav Dhar, the film’s director clarified that he did not know Prateik while writing the story and thus getting influenced by his life’s story was out of question.

The film, which has been produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also has Kalki Koechlin who plays the love interest of Prateik. The director says that the film is about childhood memories and friendship and would make the audience nostalgic. Shot in 80s style, it is sure to make its mark with the audience.
