Nagaland gets into Christmas spirits
Since Nagaland's 88 per cent population consists of Christians and it is considered as one of the three Christian-majority states of India along with Meghalaya and Mizoram, therefore Christmas season is full of festivities and church visits.

The festival of Christmas is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Nagaland. With the festival around the corner, the state is in grip of festivities.

The state has a very high church attendance rate in both urban and rural areas. Huge Baptist and Catholic churches dominate the skylines of Kohima, Dimapur, and Mokokchung.

The festivities in the state begin at IG stadium in Kohima with the show "Christmas with Boney M" on December 10 which is being organised by Nagaland Outdoor Club as part of Hornbill Music Festival as a family show to be attended by people cutting across cultures and age.

Liz Mitchell and her band have arrived in Kohima and fans are flocking Kohima since this is the first time in a long time that Boney M is performing in India in the Northeast.

Though the state celebrates all the Christian festivities, however, traditional folk and tribe-related festivals are connected agriculture.
