Statistically, Nagaland has a population of about 17 lakhs. It has a rich diverse culture of 16 different tribes having their own particular traditions. The Nagas, once popularly known as the "Head Hunters", are in fact warm and welcoming once you befriend them. The unity of the Nagas is portrayed through their festivals, and one such festival is the "Hornbill festival". It is celeberated every year started from December 1 and lasts for 7 days. This festival showcases its rich culture and has similarities with Korea culture. Thailand has also been invited to share and popularize their culture in these festivals. Many tourists from all over the world come and attend this festival. The main attractions are the pleasant wheather and the scenic beauty of Nagaland -beautiful hills and curved roads.
