Narendra Modi goofs up and calls Bhutan as Nepal, Twitter goes beserk
A minor goof up in his welcome speech during his first foreign tour saw Narendra Modi being the topic of discussion on Twitter. Social networking site Twitter went beserk when the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi mistakenly referred to Bhutan as Nepal while addressing the Bhutan parliament, earlier today.

This is Narendra Modi's first official foreign tour as the Prime Minister of India after winning the recent Lok Sabha polls.

Reportedly, Modi in his speech acknowledging the Royal Family of Bhutan said, ''I want to begin with a tribute to the Nepal...Bhutan royal family that ensured democratic values and protected people's rights..,'' which did not go unnoticed, as established by the number of tweets, which followed over the slip up.

It was under various hastags, such as #Bhutan, #Nepal and #TravelTipstoModi that the Indian PM started to trend on Twitter.

Most of the tweets were lighthearted fun about the Indian Prime Minister. A few of them are given below:
