Narendra Modi showers gift of welfare schemes during his yatra
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is on month-long Swami Vivekanand Yuva Vikas Yatra, during his stoppage at Surendranagar district announced to set up a textile park in the area, as the district is one of leading producers of cotton in the state.

NARENDRA MODI said that the textile park will provide huge employment opportunities in the district. He added that the textile park will move ahead of the proposed Maruti plant in providing jobs to the people.

The CM hailed the move while saying that with this park Surendra Nagar will become supplier of fabric and textile also, apart from supplying raw cotton. Modi added that the textile produced in the district will be exported from the coast of Saurashtra.

With an aim to change the look of Surendranagar, Modi also announced a fund of 256 crore rupees for the creation of irrigation facilities in the district. Out of the 256 crores, 200 crore rupees will be spent on creating irrigation infrastructure to cover 2.75 acre land of Dhrangadhra, Vadhvan, Halvad, Dasada and Lakhtar towns in the area.

The government will spend the remaining 56 crore rupees in implementing Narmada canal oriented irrigation scheme in two lakh acre land of Limbdi, Chuda and Vadhvan.

Modi expressed confidence that BJP will win the upcoming assembly elections and soon after the elections the real development of the state will take place. He said that the last ten years of his rule were spent in filling the ditches created by the Congress governments that ruled the state for 45 years.
