Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address his first public rally in Uttar Pradesh as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate. The BJP rally in Kanpur will start in afternoon. Modi will deliver his speech from a 100-feet long vaastu compliant stage.
Astrologers have been roped in topropitiate gods to ensure a hassle-free rally and vaastu experts havebeen enrolled to "give the right direction" on the stageformation. The 100 feet long and 30 feet wide stage will hold thenational leadership of the BJP including Modi and party presidentRajnath Singh.
Special teams were formed to rope in a largenumber of youngsters and student of Chatrapati Sahuji MaharajUniversity and Indian Institute of Technology. Entire Kanpur has beensplashed with posters, hoardings, bunting and banners giving detailsof the rally and its venue -- the social welfare department groundopposite Gautam Buddha Park in Indiranagar.
Teams have beenformed to work out guest and crowd management, food and water forrallyists, parking of vehicles, media management and sanitation, alocal office bearer said. Hundreds of buses have been requisitionedto ferry people to the rally site from nearby areas.
Modi willland at the rally venue via a chopper after a brief stopover atLucknow's Amausi airport. The party's minority wing has also workedhard to ensure that a sizeable chunk from the Muslim localitiesattend the rally.
Elaborate security arrangements have beenmade at rally venue. Seven SP rank officials, eight ASPs, 15 DeputySPs, 40 inspectors, 700 constables, 100 lady constables andanti-sabotage team among others have been provided for the rally inKanpur. Security personnel from Gujarat have also arrived in Kanpurfor the security of Modi.
