Narendra Modi's Kanpur rally named, 'Vijay Sankhnad rally,' concluded amongst the echo of Vande Mataram and a mob high on his words. Right from taking digs at the government for its Coal scams to Rahul Gandhi's assurance for the food bill to the farmers, Modi concentrated on flaws of the government and development. He was addressing the crowd in his first rally in Uttar Pradesh as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate.
Statements as “Our neighbours taunt us with incursions and the govt in Delhi serves chicken biryani meals,” were the highlights of his speech. He also questioned the present government and said, “Nation wants answers from you on corruption. All the time you say we made the law. Then what did Babasaheb Ambedkar.”
Taking a shot at Rahul Gandhi's speech he again pointed to the words, “Our poor our farmers have become jokes for Congress. Prince says there is nothing poverty. It is a state of mind.” taking further on Rahul Gandhi, he adds, “Those born with golden spoons, what do they know what poverty is. To see poverty they go with cameras to see huts.”
Narendra Modi delivered his speech from a 100-feet long vaastu compliant stage and reportedly astrologers were employed to give right direction to the stage so that the rally could happen smoothly. Before the event, which saw a huge turnout, the entire city was dotted with posters, banners and hoardings of the rally.
Teams were recruited to see that the crowd was efficiently managed and hundreds of buses were arranged to provide transport to the locals so that everybody could be a part of the rally. Once he started the speech, he had the full attention of the audience.
