National level kabaddi player Sukhwinder Singh shot dead in Rohtak, crime caught on CCTV
In what could only be described as a gruesome and barbaric murder, two unidentified armed assailants repeatedly fired shots into the head of a national-level Kabaddi player in Rithal village of Rohtak.

The 24-year old national-level Kabaddi player identified as Sukhwinder Singh was returning home from practice on Tuesday evening when he was shot dead. The horrific crime was captured on CCTV installed in a nearby house.

A police official said, "Two persons on a scooter shot dead Sukhwinder Singh with a pistol near his house on Tuesday evening."

The CCTV footage of the incident which is quite clear shows Sukhwinder talking on his mobile phone on his way home, when two armed men arrive on a scooter and fire shots at his forehead and chest, making him fall on the ground. On realising that Sukhwinder is still alive, the assailants alight from the scooter and indiscriminately fire again at his head.

The police have said that a case of murder has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the killers. The parents of the deceased have confirmed that Sukhwinder did not have personal enmity with anyone.
