Many party members of the Biju Janata Dal are disappointed as they have not got the positions of power like chairpersons of different state corporations and boards. This added with mine scam could add to CM Naveen Patnaik's troubles.
THE MINISTERS in Orissa Chief minister Naveen Patnaik's cabinet have been enjoying more than six months in power, while other Biju Janata Dal's leaders are still waiting to taste power.
Some of these leaders, who had not received a party ticket during the last election were those, who had reportedly done a lot for the party. Even those, who jumped into the party prior to polls but did not get a seat or those who lost the election have yet not been incorporated as chairpersons of different state corporations and boards.
As machinations to get these posts continue, more and more party members are losing hopes for a position of power. According to sources, due to the lack of mutual decision making in various quarters of the party this decision is pending. According to sources, after the eruption of the mine scam, Patnaik is still maintaining a gap from his so called consultant. This added with above mentioned disappointment could lead to problems for the government and the party.
