Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife attempts suicide
Crickerter-turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife, Navjot Kaur has been admitted to a Patiala hospital, after she attempted to commit suicide. Doctors however, ruled out the possibility of suicide and said that it is a case of food poisoning.
NAVJOT KAUR, wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of Parliament (MP) Navjot Singh Sidhu attempted to commit suicide at her residence in Patiala. His wife has been admitted to Sadbhavan Medical and Heart Institute in Patiala on Saturday morning (July 5).
Dr Sudhir Verma, the doctor attending her however claimed that it was case of food poisoning and that she is being treated for it. The report of alleged attempt to suicide by Sidhu’s wife has sent shock waves among family members and friends of Sidhu. The relatives of Kaur are camping in the hospital. Sidhu however went back after meeting the doctors
.If the Doctor has already ruled out suicide and said that it's a case of food poisoning, why the misleading headline? It's irresponsible journalism and I'm sure has caused further trauma to the family. Journalists need to live by the journalism code of ethics. This kind of journalism also hurts the media fraternity.

.Attempts suicide? It is this type of irresponsible journalism - of the citizen or commercialised type - that makes people take the profession as bad as the oldest in the world! It emboldens wrongdoers to not fear exposure as they know what credibility journalists have come to command. Dr Navjot Kaur has said she got indisposed due to food poisoning and was seen "eating ice cream while talking to the reporters and exchanging jokes with Sidhu." EVEN if that was a drama, no decent citizen has the right to term as suicide attempt what the doctor claims to be the effect of a rogue karela (bitter gourd). It is nothing but unabashed gossip!
.Whatever it is I hope she recovers quickly and completely.On a lighter note,it can't be easy being married to a guy as insane and irritating as Navjot Singh.My sympathies are with the lady.
