AS THE March Madness started in full fervour on Thursday, March 18, with Day I of the NCAA Tournament 2010, the excitement was fuelled to a higher level by the enthralling games. One of these was the Florida Gators vs BYU (Brigham Young University), which saw scores rising to 99 points.
THe Florida Gators vs BYU game saw a double overtime, with final scores coming to 92-99. The tenth seeded Florida had a chance over seventh seeded Brigham Young University but missed them. Freshman guard Kenny Boynton Jr, brought the Florida Gators 27 points, five of them being three pointers, while BYU junior guard Jimmer Fredette scored the highese total of 37 points. Florida Gators junior forward Chandler Parsons was a high scorer too, with 20 points, apart from 10 rebounds.
Michael Loyd Jr, had also scored an achivement in the game with a career high 26 points individually and had started working on this from the first half onwards, getting 10 points from here.
While the first overtime became a missed opportunity after the end of regulation time, the second overtime saw Jimmer Fredette get two three pointers, bringing the tally for Brigham Yound University to 93-86.
