NCAA: St Mary beats Villanova 75-68, Omar Samhan shines
Omar Samhan remained a big problem for Villanova Wildcats overall, in Saturday's game against St Mary Gaels at the ongoing NCAA Tournament 2010 today. The St Mary Gaels beat Wildcats 75-68.

IN THE ongoing NCAA Tournament 2010, Villanova Wildcats suffered a devastating loss in Saturday's game against tenth seeded St Mary Gaels from the South region. The latter beat Villanova Wildcats by 75-68, in this seconf rounf match up. This loss is worse for the Big East Conference which has lost four teams, in the first round. Omar Samhan of the St Mary Gaels remained a strong player with 32 points.

Omar Samhan remained a big problem for Villanova Wildcats overall, though the team came back fom trailing to tie at 65-65 with one minute 16 seconds left on the clock, calling for even more excitement in the final minutes.

The center who got 32 points, got 13 for 16 shooting, got an offensive foul in the first half, after which the St Mary Gael coach remained very careful using the player. Omar Samhan broke the 17-17 tie in the first half, with a 16-4 run. Then when, the Villanova Wildcats had considerably shortened their trailing to 33-29 a minute before halftime, he got a three point play, widening his team's lead to 38-31.

Mickey McConell was a sight to watch too. When the teams had tied at 65-65, in the crucial minutes before announcing the end of the game, it was Mickey McConellwho broke it with three ponts on the board.

Next up for the St Mary Gaels, is a game with the winner of Dominian vs Baylor game, that is also happening today.
