Need of the hour: Convert trash filled landscapes with greenery near railway stations
Before approaching Mumbai via train, it is very interesting to note that some portion of railway lands close to railway stations have been used for agriculture purpose by planting lush green palak (spinach) and other varieties. This sight from a passing train is indeed very welcoming. There is no doubt that the railways must have engaged services of either an agriculture expert or a gardener to nurture these plantings to the full.

This sighting was completely different from other places, as whenever a station is being approached, it is full of rubbish with plastic bags etc., strewn all over the place that belongs to the railways land.

I believe that more and more places that belong to the railways should be covered under the greenery effect by planting cash crops, which would not only solve the problem of doing away with strewn trash in and around railway lands, but would also offer nice scenario besides earning some money for such nice efforts.

Concerned quarters can do well to emulate the above example of converting trash filled small stretch of lands around railways to make it look green and more green by eliminating all types of trash from the scene.

It is my dream to see such green sightings before one approaches any railways stations.
