Nephew blames Sylvester Stallone for Sage's death

Sylvester Stallone wanted to mourn the death of his son quietly but his nephew would not have it so. In an angry spat he wrote on his Facebook wall accusing Stallone to be the reason behind his son's demise.

SYLVESTER STALLONE'S eldest son's death opened up a family filled with bitter struggles and complicated relationships. The actor who starred in the famous Rocky series with his son, Sage Moonblood Stallone, said after the news of his son's death:“When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain... This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace.”

However, this somehow did not go well with his nephew Edd Filiti, who posted on his Facebook wall an angry message suggesting that Stallone himself was responsible for his son's death. He realized his mistake and removed the message to paste another angry post that said, “I want to thank whoever sold the screen shots of my fb statuses, written in a moment of sheer panic, i couldn't even breathe i was so angry and confused when i wrote them, and i regret doing so, i deleted them 10 minutes l8r. what did you make off of my family's tragedy, and my panic, about $10000 i bet, good for you, you earned it. my family's affairs are not for public spectacle, and i would appreciate it if you have the balls to come forward and say it was you, so that i can delete you......”

Although he does mention that he wrote the message in a fit of panic, it is quite clear that the family was having troubles and now with the death, wounds are bound to be deeper.

As reported in dailytelegraph.com, the post of the boy said, “What did he do wrong, say happy birthday. Neither you [Stallone's wife Jennifer Flavin] or he could return a phone call, which is all he wanted, his father. I know you don't care what happened, but you'll care when you’re squirming under the burning magnifying glass of public opinion. You people make me f— sick.”

What can be excused as teenage ranting can also be seen as a protective brother's desire to come to terms with the death of a dear family member. He also berated Stallone's present wife and said that now he would wait and watch how much Stallone needs her.

Sage Moonblood Stallone, 36 was found dead in his Hollywood hills home with bottles of prescription pills and empty cans. It is not clear as to how many days the body was like that. While the family's feelings were left bare with Filiti's facebook post, the police on the other hand feel that it was an accident as no suicide note was extracted or any foul play was noticed. The autopsy results are yet to come. Sage was Stallone's eldest son from his first wife Sasha Czack from their 11 years of marriage.

People all around the globe who grew up watching the Rocky series and still quote dialogues from the films sent their condolences his way through Twitter. Donald Trump wrote on the microblogging site, “My friend @TheSlyStallone lost his wonderful son Sage this weekend. We all send Sly our love and warmest wishes. Sage was a wonderful young man!” Elizabeth Tan, an actress also tweeted, “My thoughts and heart go out to Sylvester Stallone, family and friends for the loss of Sage Stallone. Peace and Love.” May his soul rest in peace is all that everyone is wishing for.

Cleaning dirty linen in public. I would say the nephew is only trying to gain attention. Even if Stallone has a passive responsibility for his son's death, they could have discussed it at personal level and not on social networking sites.
