Never worry about the future
Always remember that the future comes one day at a time. In the end, we are the one who can predict our own future. We are the ones that can build our own destinies.
A WISE man shall overrule his stars, and have a greater influence upon his own content than all the constellations and planets of the firmament. (Jeremy Taylor)

This quote reminds me of an incident. I was in my office; all of a sudden received a call from my friend. He was tensed and wanted to meet me. I invited him for lunch; he came to my office in the afternoon. I asked him to relax but he was so tensed that he was not ready to listen to anything. I was disappointed to know that he was terminated from his job without prior notice. I explained him the basic legal process and give the reference of my advocate. We left for lunch.

Near the hotel, where we had gone for lunch, a fortune teller was sitting with his parrot. The fortune teller suddenly called my friend and said, “Sir, you are in very big tension.” My friend was surprised and he turned back to him.

I suggested my friend to not to entertain such fortune tellers. Most of the fortune tellers do not really know the future. They just predict the future by inducing innocent people to say something and guess from the information they give.

Our knowledge of the future is limited. We do not know in the morning how our life shall be by the time it is evening. Yes we can do a lot of guessing and predicting about our future and tomorrow, but we simply cannot know what shall happen tomorrow.

My friend was more interested in knowing his future. The fortune teller asked few questions from my friend and he answered accordingly. Luckily, the fortune teller shared some positive thoughts with him and he was smiling. I thanked God, I know what the fortune teller predicted may not be accurate or true, but the positive prediction gave him some relief from his worries.

Another thing that I noticed is that positive predictions from a fortune teller helps to release stress. Psychologically, this is a healthy way to relieve the frustration.

Our future is all mapped out for us from the day we are born. Whatever is destined to happen will happen. But many a times we can change our destiny for the better. The choices we make in life play a big part in shaping our future destiny.

In the end, we are the one who can predict our own future. We are the ones that can build our own destinies. We should remember the famous quote by none other than William Shakespeare, “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves; we are underlings”.
