NEVI all set to launch e-vehicles in India; integrates ecosystem of energy and mobility solutions
India Center Foundation (ICF), a not-for-profit organization that has been playing a significant role towards India's socio-economic development for over two decades, recently announced a business collaboration with Japanese Electric Vehicle (EV) maker - 'e-Gle' to launch electric vehicles in multiple segments in India.

Under the collaboration between the two Asian countries, electric vehicles in multiple segments are going to be introduced in India including passenger, public passenger and larger mobility solutions with the cooperation of Japanese Vehicle Company, according to a company statement.

Electric Vehicles offer a more efficient and cost-effective means of transportation in comparison to vehicles that run on fossil fuels.

National Electric Vehicle Initiative (NEVI), one of the key initiatives that shall contribute in uplifting the technology of electric vehicles, will also be discussed at the upcoming Global Partnership Summit (GPS) which is scheduled to be organized at the Aero City in New Delhi from 11th to 14th December, 2017.

"We are delighted to be a part of the National Electric Vehicle Initiative (NEVI). We believe that India's mobility transformation presents an enormous economic opportunity, innovative business models and supportive policy frameworks that can help make India a global hub for manufacturing electric vehicles and their components," said Hiroshi Shimuzu, President & CEO at e-Gle and the innovator behind the electric vehicle technology.

The primary objective of NEVI is to mass produce in the country EVs that cover an entire range of transportation segments, including rail, road, sea and, in the future, air transport too.

NEVI also aims to build an energy efficient, environmentally responsible and sustainable alternative model of transportation in India introducing electric vehicles (EVs) across all segments, including passenger vehicles, public transport, and large mobility solutions.

In order to provide benefits to several stakeholders, NEVI will also create an integrated ecosystem of energy and mobility solutions.
