SEARCH GIANT Google has announced certain changes to Google Voice after it launched a Google Voice extension for its browser Google Chrome on Friday night. These changes can be incorporated by Google Chrome browser, though users of the browser's Mac or Linux version would have to have the Beta version which supports extensions.
The most notable of these changes is the addition of a button to the toolbar which would display the number of unread messages in a user's Google Voice inbox. This would give the user quick access to their most recent message transcripts. So, one can retrieve and listen to voicemails on Google Voice more quickly.
One can also call phone numbers on websites that one accesses through the Google Chrome browser with the Google Voice extension easy to call. The user merely needs to click on them for the call to be made.
The Google Chrome extension can be installed very easily. A user needs to merely go to the Google Chrome extensions page, click install and agree to the standard terms and conditions and the little voice icon would be in the window to the right of the search bar without even restarting the program.
