New Indian 10 Rupee coin
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a new coin for the denomination of Rs. 10. The new coin has been based on the theme of 'Unity in Diversity'. It has an outer ring of metal composition. It's bi-metallic or made up of two metals
THE RESERVE Bank of India (RBI) has issued a new coin for the denomination of Rs 10. The new coin has been based on the theme of 'Unity in Diversity'. It has an outer ring of metal composition. It’s bi-metallic or made up of two metals.
This design has been made by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
The face of the coin is divided into three portions. The central portion bears the "Lion Capitol" of Ashoka Pillar.
RBI says the new coin is a stylized representation of "Unity in Diversity", a defining characteristic of India.

.This 10 rupee coin should have made from Copper/Brass instead of Brass/Nickel as we have copied it of Euro coins
.Oh yess! I havea nice collection of coins.... my collection acually includes ashrafis from Akbar era.. but I am these days stuck! coz ndin new or old is cmin my way! but wid this coin.. some hope has come....
I think RBI should also come up with some fo its variants like it has for Rs 1/2/5 coin!

.In fact I have seen one such coin with one my friend it's too nice! Like the ancient ashrafis :)
