What really is signified by the New Year day? Like any other day the sun rises; everyone wakes up like the previous day; however, the revelers taking part in celebrations and boozing a bit more wake up late, with may be a hang over. The only thing is that everyone wishes a happy and prosperous new year for every other friend and relative, at least in words even if there truly is no sincere feeling in the heart. Rituals are to be followed, or else the tag of lacking courtesy and mannerism might be fixed on the back prominently. Man is a social animal and does not want other animals of the same genre to think ill of him.
The New Year makes the ones with amorous feelings to take vows for each other of achieving something which in reality may never be accomplished. Every New Year day inspires everyone to make resolutions to be broken the next moment. Even the Heads of State’s wish the people happiness and prosperity, but indulge in all kinds of corruption to fill their own coffers at the cost of the hoi polloi. So, resolutions made on New Year day seem to be only logomachy without any real intention of accomplishing these. It is felt that if there really is a sincerity of purpose, every day needs be a New Year day for achieving a cherished goal. Striving to be useful to mankind must arise everyday in the mind of the individual and then only something worthwhile would be accomplished.
Love for the family members, the neighbourhood, the country and the whole of mankind, if could be aroused with every sunrise, the earth would certainly be a place worth living. If every sunrise can brighten the psyche of every terrorist individual, the world would be able to see New Year everyday. Therefore, let us all human beings consider every single day a New Year so that every dawn might inspire us to make resolutions for every day to be accomplished before going to bed….. "And Miles to go before I sleep, And Miles to go before I sleep"- let us all accomplish our mite as a single individual human being by covering miles before sleep. There will be sunshine for sure.
