NEW YORK Knicks hired former head coach and GM, Isiah Thomas as a consultant. Isiah Thomas will assist senior management in various ways, including recruiting players. He is currently the head coach at Florida International University, on a five-year contract, who finished with 7-25 in his first season.
Thomas was with New York Knicks's operations from 2003 to 2008. Isiah Thomas was fired by the Knicks in 2008 as coach later after the team was tied for franchise record for defeats in a season. Isiah Thomas compiled a 56-108 record as the Knicks’ head coach. He was replaced by Donnie Walsh as president and Mike D’Antoni as head coach.
