New Zealand in trouble against India in the first test

On the second morning Indian overnight batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman started Indian score board from 329/3.

This morning everyone was expecting a Diwali gift from Sachin Tendulkar in the form of 50th test century, however Kiwi Right-arm off break bowler Jeetan Patel claimed Sachin's wicket at his individual score of 40 runs. Laxman also left the crease at the individual score of 40. At launch Team India were 392 for six wickets.

On the second day at Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad, New Zealand bowlers picked five wickets  for 29 runs. For the ninth wicket Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha built a partnership of 68 runs. Harbhajan Singh played his career-best inning and scored 69 runs from 97 balls, with five fours and three sixes, before he was the final wicket to fall. New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori claimed four wickets, whereas, Jeetan Patel picked three wickets.

According to the latest score, New Zealand has lost two wickets for 31 runs. Opener Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor are playing on 18 and 2 runs respectively. Earlier, in the third over of the Kiwi inning, Zaheer Khan sent Tim McIntosh back to the pavilion for a duck. Next man to go was Watling, who was claimed by Pragyan Ojha for 6 runs.

On day one in the first test match being played between India and New Zealand, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid put on a huge partnership of 236 runs and it only ended when Sehwag got bowled for a score of 173. Dravid too departed after finishing his 30th test century. He was out for 104 runs.
