News channel compares Sourav with Salman
A leading Hindi news channel telecast a special story comparing former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly with actor Salman Khan. The video titled 'Ganguly is the Salman of Cricket' showed that both Sourav and Salman display very similar traits.
Such a behaviour by Flintoff had hurt the Indian audience immensely.
It was mentioned in the news report that both Sourav and Salman were embroiled in scandals involving leading ladies of bollywood. While Sourav was rumoured to be involved with Nagma, Salman was seen cosying up with bollywood damsels like Aishwarya and Katrina.
Salman was even accused of chinkara-killing and reckless driving in a drunken state. However, the channel also mentioned that Sourav has not committed any such crimes so far.
The news channel compared the fans of both stars in numbers and categories. When Sourav was the captain of the Indian cricket team, his fans used to organise ’yajna’ (a ritual practice) for his as well as team India’s victory in all the matches. Ganguly was also greeted by his fans with garlands, bouquets and gifts when he returned back to Kolkata, after winning the India - Australia Test series 2-0.
Sourav had announced his retirement from the Indian cricket just before the recently concluded Test series stating that India-Australia Test Series would be his last match.
.i dont think both are comparable. Saurav has is tremendous in the cricket and salman is not. Salman may has huge fan but its not because of his acting. Its only because of his pyisical apperance. Saourav is one of the most succcesful caption of Indian cricket history. He is legen of the cricket but salman is not. Of course salman is still most eligible bachelor at the age of plus 40. Sourav did a lot for indian cricket especially self respect and offencive policy of game. I must say he has changed the policy of the game.
.For getting TRP, Aj Tak has done a crime. It should not be tolerated? What does the news channel thinkof them? That they camn do anything. Most of the Hindi news channels are doing the same. But such news are never shown in any English news chhannel. To increase marketing and TRPs, the Hindi news channels do whatever they wish. Sourav ganguly is a great crickteer. Media , esp. Aj Tak has no right to insult him in this way by comparing with Salman Khan.; A cricketer can never be compared with Salman. Sourav ganguly initiates a movement inside Indian cricket that is still present, We all Indians respect him for his captaincy which is incomparable.Though he is a bengali, he never shows any regionalism in the team. He always plays for India, It is a crime to insult Sourav in this way. Aj Tak should be punished for spreading such a news. I urge to YOU all to do your best in spreading such a news , Shame Aj tak shame.

.i saw the news, it was aaj tak, who telecast the same, from which point of view, aaj tak could perform the same? it is a shame to all cricket lovers in India. Sourav Ganguly is the former Indian captain, his contribution in the Indian cricket is always memorable. He can never be compared with Salman from any aspect.
