Nicki Minaj is out paying fans' college tuition
Something happened over the last weekend and it's bizarre and awesome all at the same time. Trinidad-born American singer, songwriter, rapper and model Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter handle and rolled out a gold class contest for fans that intended to get an education but kept on getting dissed by inadequate financial situations.

Minaj (34), in a tweet offered to fund tuition, loan-debt, and scholarship deficits for fans that wanted to attend or return back to school/university. The generous offer from Minaj came early in the morning of Sunday, May 7 via her Twitter account and she spent an entire hour responding to fan requests and actually convincing them that she'd keep the promises made.

The Anaconda singer had one sweet clause for those entering her Twitter hosted contest wherein she simply wanted to verify their straight 'A' grades with the school they were attending.

Later in the day, the altruist Minaj even dropped the 4.0 GPA requirement condition for students trying to qualify and get sponsored. She took it farther by announcing that she was also open to paying for books and school supplies. Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, George RR Martin, Rihanna, Dolly Parton already preceding her, Nicki Minaj jumped onto the bandwagon of stars paying for students' college tuition and thereby putting a share of their unimaginable quota of wealth to some community benefit.

It all started when a fan joked with the rapper over Twitter and requested her to sponsor him, to which Minaj readily agreed after calling for his credentials. Initially, fans didn't know how to react and many thought that she was bluffing but Nicki Minaj wasn't and what a relief that a dozen people have assistance now! An hour after attaining maximum capacity, she called it off and stopped taking more requests but that's not all! Before bowing out Minaj promised to be back in a couple of months' time to help some more lucky followers.
