Prostitutes in Bonn, Germany now need to have a night permit to carry on with their profession between 8:15 pm and 6 am. An automated machine would be kept in places where prostitutes would gather, which are normally across the streets of the city.

It has also been reported that those girls who are involved in the trade would be required to pay a fine if they do not possess the night permit to work. If they are caught for the second time, then they may be banned from working in that particular area.

This kind of ticket system has actually been brought into place by officials after the failure of sex tax. It was a failure because everyone would not be working in brothels and other kind of permanent places. As in other countries, most of them prefer to stay near the streets, and red lights etc, where they are picked up by people and taken to various places.

The new system has been started as an experimental one. If the officials find success, it may happen that these kinds of automated machines may be placed on various locations all over Germany. But, there is a difference of opinion within the fellow citizens of the country. Some people also hold the view that, with this kind of system it is the women who may be in danger as they may move away from these locations where the machines are kept and go to different places, where it is more risky to work.
