Nizami Bandhu's Qawwalis leave audience spellbound at Jammu's Abhinav Theatre
Jammu's Abhinav Theatre provided the perfect stage, right ambience and an appreciative audience in a pleasant journey into the world of Sufi music on Thursday evening.

Nizami Bandhu –Chand Nizami, Shadab Nizami and Sohrab Nizami – enthralled Sufi music lovers to an array of mesmerising qawwalis, one after the other at the musical event organised by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

The audience in the jam-packed theatre greeted the qawwals with thundering rounds of applause. Nizami Banbhu warmed up the evening with "Bhar De Jholi Meri Ya Mohammed", followed by "Kun Faaya Kun". After singing soulful qawwalis, they wrapped up their performance with "Dama Dum Mast Qalandar".

It is pertinent to mention here that Nizami Bandhu is one of the oldest and well-known Sufi Qawwali groups in the country comprising members of the illustrious Nizami family, which has ties with Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and Hazrat Amir Khusro.
