No One Killed Jessica may be released with beeped dialogues
On the controversy, director Rajkumar Gupta said that its not that bad and with such coverage makes the movie sound like a non stop abuse binge. Although Rani's character is very brutal and graphic in her speech, she is very much the same in reality.
AHEAD OF her much awaited real life drama, No One Killed Jessica, Rani Mukerji's dialogue delivery which includes usage of foul words, awaits the test of time before it is sent to the censor board for the final nod. Although in the trailers the words are managed with a beep, the film makers say that if the censor board does not approve of the words, her dialogues will create huge gaps. As per sources, if the censor board decides to have it their way then Rani's dialogues will have more beeps than words!

On the controversy, director Rajkumar Gupta said that its not that bad and with such coverage makes the movie sound like a non stop abuse binge. Although Rani's character is very brutal and graphic in her speech, she is very much the same in real life as well and he was not aware about it until he met the actress. But she was thoroughly professional in mouthing squirmy words.

However, the censor board has permitted usage of such languages to certain directors like Vishal Bharadwaj whose rusty characters have to deliver lurid language. The producers of No One Killed Jessica, UTV who had earlier co-produced Bharadwaj's Kaminey are optimistic about the inclusion of the language as the language in urban context is permissible.

While, Rani delivered her dialogues with utmost precision, her co-star Vidya Balan feared about how would these dialogues sound given the ambience inside a theatre, which is surrounded by digital sounds. Gupta, taking a stand said that let's just say, both Rani and Vidya said what they had to.

The movie which is slated for a January 7 release has Rani playing the role of an intrepid, crime reporter, who chain smokes and hurls non stop abuses while Vidya will be seen playing the role of Jessica Lall's younger sister, Sabrina Lall.
