No repeat of 2009 candidates from Gurgaon for 2014 Assembly polls
In the run up to the October Assembly elections in Gurgaon, there is a great chance that all the political parties would field in new faces for the prestigious seat. Those candidates who fought during the 2009 elections is expected to be a passe.

BJP and Congress are the two main parties during the assembly polls in Gurgaon. During the last assembly elections from Gurgaon, it was Congress' Dharambir Gaba who contested from the millennium city, but this time around one may see Ram Dharampal as their candidate, or may be even his son.

But as far as BJP goes, the competition seems to be tight with a number of candidates on the fray. Out of the three, Haryana Insaaf Manch GL Sharma, state BJP media in-charge Umesh Aggarwal, and former minister Rao Narbir Singh, one will get a chance to fight the seat. And on all probability, it is Sharma, who is going to get the final nod from the party.

Apart from the above mentioned parties, Indian National Lok Dal will also file their candidate. Former MLA and deputy speaker of Haryana, Gopichand Gehlot might fight during the elections. During the 2009 elections, it was Mani Ram Sharma who fought from the INLD ticket.

"The ticket is not finalized yet, but the party high command will decide based on a candidate's popularity and his chances of winning," an INLD leader said, reported The Times of India.
