No surprise that nation of corrupt people is being ruled by the corrupt
George Bernard Shaw once stated that Democracy is a system guaranteeing that we are no better governed than we deserve. Since we are a nation of congenitally corrupt, inefficient and dishonest people, in a democracy, we get this corrupt and inefficient government that we deserve.

The ruling party is the most corrupt and even the opposition BJP party comes second. It is seen that the communist parties are the least corrupt. That is why the tribal people who are being exploited like anything by the corrupt people are rallying around the Maoists.

But Maoists themselves, besides being undemocratic and ruthless and cruel, are corrupt as they have accepted bribes from Madhu Koda, the former corrupt Chief Minister of Jharkhand for allowing him to run his illegal mining business in the Maoist held area.

They have also been seen to be sexually and morally corrupt. They are even sexually exploiting their own cadre sisters. In such a situation, whom should we trust? It is better to reform ourselves and rid ourselves of corruption before expecting anything from the Government. If we are not corrupt and are efficient and honest then surely, in a democracy, we would get a clean, efficient and honest government.
