'No To Polythene Bag' Campaign: Some malls of Gurgaon to be polythene free
Commissioner Vijay Singh Dahiya of MCG declared Ambience Mall, and HUDA officer Narender Yadav declared Omaxe Gurgaon Mall and Omaxe City Centre on Sohna road Gurgaon as polythene free. The Commissioner said that he was pleased to see his desire of a Gurgaon free of Polythene bags, being translated into reality by the malls management with Ambience mall taking the lead.
THE COMISSIONER stressed on the importance of getting rid of polythene bags and wanted all the retailers of
Gurgaon to help him achieve his aim of making Gurgaon free of polythene bags by December 2012, so that the coming
New Year can be ushered in on a healthier note.
Prominent citizens, members of RWA and members of Mall fraternity were all present in strength on this occasion as part of Gurgaon Chapter on “Say No To Polythene Bags.”
Vijay Aima, Vice President Ambience Malls highlighted the need of all to come together and take this noble cause forward as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and he praised the initiative being taken by the Commissioner MCG to lead from the front.
And HUDA officer Narender Yadav, while declaring Omaxe Gurgaon Mall and Omaxe City Centre on Sohna road as polythene free malls expressed his joy and praised mall's administration in order to achieve this target.
I congratulate mall administration who always supported the cause" said Yadav. On occassion he conveyed the benefits of using no polythene and also beware shopkeepers about fine and penalties on the use of poly bags for shopping.
