Noida's industries write to CM Akhilesh Yadav; raise various demands
The Federation of Noida Industries (FNI) has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav asking him to initiate few things, which need urgent attention by the government for the industrial growth in the city.

Some of the demands raised by FNI are:

  • Decrease in electricity rates for industries in Noida.

  • Remove the 2% tax over the import of Iron and Paper from other states.

  • Apart from auto showroom other things like bank, furniture showrooms, labs etc. should be included in the Mixed land use policy introduced by the government.

  • To take strict action on officials in Noida, who are indulged in corruption

  • Large amount is being invested on Noida's development. More work is done than needed. The government should only do those things which are essential and should also maintain a record of roads construction.

  • Citizens in other cities of UP have freehold on their property. Similar rights should be given to Noida residents also.

FNI has demanded formation of Municipal Corporation in Noida saying that the population of the city has crossed 12 lakhs.

Ramesh Chandra Sharma, Chairman, FNI said, “If the population is above 5 lakhs, then a Municipal Corporation should be formed, but the population of Noida is more than 12 lakhs, but their is no Municipality for Noida. Now all the administration is taken care by the Noida Authority, and only IAS officers are at the administrative position. But the thought process of IAS officers is different from a common man, and they fail to handle the civic affairs.”

Sharma said that they would wait till March and if their demands are not fulfilled then they will go for protests by taking support of RWA's in Noida and people from nearby villages.
