Nokia 6300: Simple yet effective
In the age where high-end devices and glitzy mobiles are the most 'in thing?, Nokia gets back to basics with Nokia 6300. At just 91gms, the handset is feature-rich, smart and comfortable to use.

THE HANDSET IS no nonsense mobile, but a pure talking gadget, that typifies a quintessential mobile device. The device comes with an old -fashioned simplicity, yet with a bold and serious look. So, if you mistake this device with any other cheap plastic mobile, you would really lose out on this deal.

Nokia 6300 comes garbed in stainless steel casing to pose as a robust mobile, yet it is lightweight and slim having a dimension of 106.4 x 43.6 x 11.7 mm. The Nokia 6300 ’s 320x240-pixel (QVGA) colour screen displays up to 16 million colours and ensures that imaging experience is not diluted. While the well-etched keypad makes the device user friendly, the four-way navigation key makes operation easy. Further, the Nokia 6300 glows with a blue light on either side, when you have an unread text message. It is not a necessary part, but sure adds some good value to the handset.

The menu is displayed neatly on the screen, and that can be viewed as a grid of icons, as tabs or as list. And to provide more pleasure to the users, the Nokia 6300 allows the users to rearrange the icons in the desired order. One useful feature here is that, when some user hovers a bit too long over the menu, a pop–up window springs up, explaining what the menu is all about.

Since it is less loaded with software so non-techy types should find it easier to use it, and it can synchronise with a PC also. It includes serious features like Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE connectivity and USB. Besides, for entertainment, the device is enabled with a camera, a music player, a video player, an FM radio and a voice recorder. It should be noted though that the camera has no auto-focus or flash. Nokia 6300 offers a talk time of 3.5 hours.
