Nokia goes the Android way with its new smartphone Nokia C1-01
After years of reluctance, Nokia has finally decided to adopt the popular Android technology. Nokia had so far been ignoring the fact that Android is by far the most popular smartphone technology and had been depending on Windows as the Operating System, which resulted in its loosing out on the market share in the world smartphone market.

The new change of strategy of adopting Android technology has come after Nokia was acquired by Microsoft for $7.2 billion in 2014. Earlier it was being reported that Nokia would continue with its Windows platform for smartphones and introduce Windows 10 driven handsets. But these latest leaked images confirm that Nokia has ultimately surrendered before Android technology.

The leaked images and details confirm the the new Nokia C1-01 has a 5 inch screen with a resolution of 1080p, an Intel Atom chipset, 2GB RAM and will probably run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone will also have an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Nokia is expected to make a comeback in the smartphone market with this new model next year.

It has also been revealed that Nokia has licensed its brand to a third party manufacturer for producing the Nokia C1-01 model.
