IT REFERS  to President of India nominating Mani Shanker Aiyyer to Rajya Sabha. Nominated seats of Rajya Sabha must not be misused for rehabilitating defeated politicians. Rather the system should be there that no one having been active in party-politics in past should be made Rajya Sabha through nominated seats filled up through nomination by President of India. For example it was equally unfair by BJP-led NDA government having nominated its party-member Hema Malini as Rajya Sabha member even though she might not have even contested any election in past.
