Non-inclusion of Telangana in President's address: MPs protest
A dozen Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh including K Keshav Rao, M Jagannath, Anjan Kumar Yadav gathered in front of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament complex and protested because of absence of Telangana issue from the President's address.
HOLDING BANNERS reading ‘Jai Telangana’ and ‘Jai Congress’ and slogans like ‘We want Telangana’, about a dozen Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh protested because of absence of Telangana issue in president’s address. The issue was highlighted by the MPs during the opening day of the Budget Session on February 24.

The protesters gathered in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Parliament complex after the president’s speech to the joint sitting of parliament. MPs K Keshav Rao, M Jagannath, Anjan Kumar Yadav were also involved in the protest.

Rao confirmed that Congress has committed a separate Telangana in its manifesto. It was also in the Congress Party’s presidential address in 2004 that the party would create Telangana, and Congress had also adopted a resolution in the Andhra Pradesh assembly for a separate Telangana state.

He added that they want their leader Sonia Gandhi to give Telangana while criticising parties and people who were not serious about the issue.

When Rao was asked whether the party was embarrassed due to its own MPs' action against the government, he said that media can blame the MPs, but they were putting themselves to shame.

Dear Readers, Congress never promised the separation of the state before 9th December 2009. Even on the day Chidambaram Statement is under the influence of faulty and baseless information provided by the then Apathetic Chief Minister loosaiah, and other Sr.leaders who can't bring atleast 10votes to the party. Congress clearly told in its manifesto that the 2nd SRC is their stand.
