North Eastern woman molested in a moving cab in Gurgaon
A 21-year-old Nagaland woman was sexually molested in a moving cab while she was on her way from Mahipalpur in Delhi at 8:25pm for Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on Sunday evening.
The victim, who works as a sales girl at the DLF Promenade Mall in Vasant Kunj, said, ''There was no local transport available and I waited for fifteen minutes then I boarded the cab. After five minutes, the driver asked me to come to the front seat of the car so that he could accommodate more passengers in the cab.''

At this point, she started doubting his character and asked the driver to stop the car but he didn't listen to her. He sped up and started molesting, threatening to kill her, reported the girl.Adding, she said, "He snatched my bag, which had my wallet and mobile phone. I jumped from the cab after crossing the Ambience Mall and then I do not remember who took me to the hospital.''

The victim, who had injuries all over her body, was later discharged after first aid. The 21 year woman claimed that Gurgaon Police didn't support her and she had to call the social organisation North East Support Centre and Helpline.They informed her guardians and suggested her to complain at the DLF City Phase 3 police station.

Her bag along with her mobile phone, which is still responding, was left behind in the cab. The Gurgaon Police has registered a case under sections 354 (molestation), 506 (threatening for life), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (assault) and 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code.

Gurgaon Police, on the other hand, has denied her charge that there was an attempt to rape and the accused is yet to be identified.
