"Not my President": Anti-Trump protests rock US
A day after Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States, the country saw demonstrators marching in cities to protest against his presidential election win.

As per reports, thousands of protesters made their way to Trump Tower while hundreds of others gathered at a Manhattan park and shouted slogans like "Not my President" and "New York Hates You".

Protests were also seen in Oakland, California and some of them turned violent as well. Rainbow flags and signs bearing messages such as "Time to Revolt" could be seen in the protests.

In downtown Chicago, about 1,800 people gathered outside the Trump International Hotel and Tower and shouted slogans like "No Trump! No KKK! No racist USA."

In Seattle, police had to resort to firing to control the protests in which various protesters were injured. However, police claimed that the shooting was not related to the demonstrations.

Numerous protests were also seen in Philadelphia, Boston, Portland, Oregon, San Francisco, Los Angeles, California and Texas.

Clinton, who lost the elections, said in her speech yesterday, "I know how disappointed you feel because I feel it too. This is painful, and it will be for a long time. Our nation is more deeply divided that we thought."

Thousands of anti-Trump protesters marched through Boston chanting "Trump's a racist" and carried signs that said "Impeach Trump" and "Abolish Electoral College."

Bernie Sanders, in a statement about Trump's win said, "To the degree that Mr Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him. To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him."
