PHONE-BASED medical assistance service has been launched in India, for the first time. It has been launched via website dialurdoctor.com. A unique 24*7 phone number has been generated for live interaction between doctors and patients.
The service was inaugurated in the city of Hyderabad by Minister for Health Danam Nagendar Garu on September 26.
The service will provide telephonic medical consultation, where doctors will diagnose a patient's problems over the phone. At any point during the consultation if the doctor feels the patient needs an expert opinion, immediately his call will be transferred to a specialist.
In the case of an emergency, the doctor will suggest the patient to rush to a nearby hospital.
The service is offered for free during day time for all users and a membership of Rs 365 a year is available.
