Novak Djokovic is Mr. Consistent in grand slams
Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has been one of the most consistent players in the grand slams in the recent past. He has featured in a total of 17 grand slam semi-finals, including the present 2012 US Open. He is the favourite to clinch the ongoing US Open.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC has reached the semi-finals in all the last 10 grand slams that he has played in, which also includes the ongoing US Open. It was Del Potro who was at the receiving end after Djokovic out played Potro to reach the last four of the 2012 US Open. His fans were treated to high quality Tennis by the Serb, who won the quarter-finals in straight sets. The score read 6-2, 7-6 and 6-4, reported Associated Press.

Novak Djokovic has been one of the most consistent players in the ATP circuit after he turned pro in 2003. But, it was only from 2007 that the player began to be regularly featuring in the last four of grand slams. Till date, he has featured in 17 Grand Slam semi-finals, which is an achievement in itself. He has reached the semis in all grand slams that have been played in 2011 and 2012. His 2012 grand slam record stands out, as he has only lost two matches.

It seems that the Serbian loves the US Open. He has reached all the semi-finals of the championship since 2007- out of which the player has lost twice each in the semi-finals and the finals. It was only last year that the player was able to lift the US Open trophy for the first time after defeating Rafael Nadal.

As far as his recent record goes in grand slams, Novak holds an impressive record especially during the 2011 and 2012 season, winning four out of his five career grand slams. Will this US Open be his sixth? With the form the player is in, it would be very hard for any player to stop this Serbian player from winning his sixth title. He has not dropped a single set in the championship.

Murray is slated to play Tomas Berdych while Djokovic will play Ferrer in the last four of the US Open. Experts are expecting Novak's clash with Murray in the finals of the US Open, which is in fact a no-brainer.

It could be a great match for Tennis fans all over the world, for it is going to be of top most quality. It might be revenge time for Djokovic, who lost in the semi-finals of the London Olympics to Murray. On the other hand, Murray is still on the look out for his first grand slam title.
