Now Govt wants Ambanis gas supply pact rescinded
Petroleum ministry filed a Special Leave Petition in the Apex court, in which both Mukesh and Anil have been named as respondents. Both the brothers have filed petitions in the Supreme Court against the High Court order on gas supply
UNION GOVERNMENT on Saturday (July 18), approached the Supreme Court seeking to get the private family agreement between the two warring Ambani brothers as 'null and void'. This agreement makes provision of supply of gas to Anil Ambani owned RNRL by Mukesh Ambani led RIL.

A  was filed by Petroleum ministry today in the Apex court, in which both Mukesh and Anil have been named as respondents. Both the brothers have filed petitions in the Supreme Court against the High Court order on gas supply.

The Union government has based its stands on the contention that a private agreement could not be allowed to override national interests. It has asked the Supreme Court to make it a party in the case being fought by the two Ambani brothers.

An affidavit filed by the government clearly said that a private dispute between two parties and a subsequent agreement cannot be allowed to threaten the interests of other stakeholders ie government.

RIL in a related affidavit has also admitted that it had no unfettered rights on the quantity and price of gas and could not supply the same to RNRL without the official nod.

.MUKESH AMBANI does business on an absurdly large scale, from his $1.5 billion house in Mumbai to the biggest oil refinery on earth. But with his country torn between wealth and poverty, has Indias richest man gone too far? What does he think of himself giving a plane as gift to his wife at the cost of tax payer? He has an ego bigger than Marcos and Suharto India is a land where corruption is a way of life. This paper will elucidate why it is important in India to be corrupted and support corruption, if you want to become rich and successful. This paper will discuss how corruption helps in an individuals growth and acts as a deterrent for a community or a nations growth. Let us see first how the Indian system works. From getting a gas connection to a business assignments, you need to bribe for everything. You need to have contacts in order to get your son admitted to a good school. You need to have money to bribe your way to get your passport verification done on time and not wait for six to eight months. You need to bribe to expedite the process of your approval for loan. In short, you need to bribe your way through the system to make it through your daily chores. With the increasing competition in the corporate world, the competitors try to gain unfair advantage over their competitors. Dhirubhai Ambani was smart at the technique of making politicians and bureaucrats happy by bribing them, which lead to his continuous progress. Successful businessmen need to pay massive amounts to politicians and bureaucrats to change the policies in their favor. Dhirubhai was not the only practitioner of this tactic. The government ensures that most of the things are under public sector so that the ministers can interfere in the working and take as much bribe as possible.

In a country whose supposed father usurped control from the leaving colonial masters and handed over the throne to a dynasty through deceit, corruption cannot be wished away. It is an inherent part of business even if you want to run just a pan shop! BTW, anyone with both luck and acumen is free to operate global business on even more "absurdly huge" scale from a $2 Bn house in Mumbai or Azamgarh within the laws of the land.
.I said before both Ambani brothers are first class crooks

Why do u call them crooks ?? Do you think a company like reliance is a curse for india ?? no doubt corruption is bad,but if businessmen bribe the government, then blame the government and the system not the businessman...No one is completely ethical today...from business to other fields, from sonia gandhi to barack obama...corruption now is a part of business...if u dont do it,some other businessman will do it...so play the game by the old rules and become a businessman or launch a campaign against corruption (u know its hardly of any use)...reply me to my email address
