Now read books on the go with ROCKSTAND application, India's first Mall-on-Mobile service that allows mobile users to 'shop on the move', launched 'ROCKSTAND' - first of its kind application to buy and read e-books on one's mobile and tablets.

HERE IS some good news for bibliophiles who love to read books on the go and at the same time want to do away with carrying the books with them. RockASAP Retails Pvt Ltd, a unit of handygo Technologies, India’s leading provider of MVAS services has announced the launch of ROCKSTAND, an e-book and e-magazine application which will be available on the RockASAP platform.

ROCKSTAND was launched with great fanfare for its international audience at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany on 11th of October.

Keeping with its trends of uniqueness, RockASAP Retails ran a contest during the fair wherein every visitor to the stall, experienced ROCKSTAND application and also gave a feedback, and some of them won brand new Ipads too. The application has received a wonderful response from the international and Indian publishers.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Praveen Rajpal, CEO, handygo Technologies Pvt Ltd said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of ROCKSATND, a very unique and innovative offering by RockASAP Retails, a unit of handygo Technologies. ROCKSTAND on your Mobiles and Tablets now will ensure that you are carrying your books and magazines with you everywhere and anywhere you are travelling. Now it will just take one click of a button and you can buy the next book or the new issue of the magazine that you want to read”.

Mr. Rajpal further added: “Currently we are launching the international version of the application in Frankfurt Book Fair with German content. We will soon be launching the Indian version of the application which will be available in 18 languages and will also have regional books which are not easily available at every book-store these days. We have already tied up with many leading Telecom majors as well as handset manufacturers and with plans to get everyone under the gamut of ROCKSTAND. The idea is that every book lover should have the opportunity to access, download and buy books through ROCKSTAND”.

As per the press release issued by the company, this app will curtail piracy of books, a cause which ROCKSTAND strongly supports. The most unique feature of ROCKSTAND is that the books and magazines available on this platform are non-transferrable, cannot be printed or copied with a zero possibility of taking a screen shot therefore making it 100% piracy proof. Going further the user will soon will be able to access another very unique feature on ROCKSTAND - Text to Speech feature.

ROCKSTAND will the first of its kind e-book and e-magazine platform available on mobiles and tablets, the company claimed. The application is currently available in Android, iOS, Windows devices and soon will launch application for Blackberry, Symbian and others devices. The application will be available for the book lovers across the world with national, international and regional content also in Web and WAP platform.

ROCKSTAND users need to download the free application either from their market place or from the RockASAP’s website. After the user downloads ROCKSTAND, he/ she can find the entire gamut of best sellers e-books and e-magazines from all across the globe available exclusively. Not just confining itself to only global authors, ROCKSTAND also offers regional books which the user can access in numerous languages. Furthermore, ROCKSTAND has a tie-up with more than 40 publishers offering one million books in various categories.
