Now upload 15-min clips on YouTube
YouTube announced today July 29 that the video upload limit increasing by 50% to 15 minutes. YouTube previously allowed its users to upload however many videos they wanted, but no video could be more than 10 minutes in length.

YouTube previously allowed its users to upload however many videos they wanted, but no video could be more than 10 minutes in length. However, currently, certain YouTube channels or partners can upload longer videos.

YouTube is also celebrating this milestone with '15 minutes of fame contest' where users tag a video with "yt15minutes." YouTube users can upload their video by Wednesday, August 4. The best video of these '15 minutes of fame contest' will be displayed on YouTube's homepage in the coming weeks.

YouTube is the world's biggest video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. San Bruno, California, based user generated website YouTube uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, etc.

YouTube website launched a new design in March 2010 with the aim of simplifying the interface and increasing the time users spend on the site.
