Now what will Vinod Sharma, an ex-Congress MLA from Haryana, do?
Twenty-seven years ago differences had emerged between top leadership of BJP over the issue of recommending names from the party quota for inclusion in Devilal-led Lok Dal - BJP coalition Haryana Govt with Atal Bihari Vajpayee recommending name of Ramvilas Sharma and LK Adwani recommending Sushma Swaraj's name.

It seems that history is repeating itself as while party president Rajnath Singh has proposed the name of Ambala city legislator and liquor, media, and real estate giant Vinod Sharma's name, for his indirect entry in National Democratic Alliance.

But Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj has opposed Singh's plans by strongly opposing Sharma's bid to join Janhit Congress party led by Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former Haryana Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal.

Fearing downfall of the Congress, Vinod Sharma, who was close friend of Haryana Chief Minister, Hooda in all major land related decisions, scripted the film for jumping in BJP's fold. With tacit approval of Hooda, Vinod Sharma tried to enter in BJP while using links of one of his TV channel's managing editor with BJP. But taint on his son Manu Sharma, who was convicted for killing model Jesica Lal posed hurdles in his way.

Then again a formula was made and Rajnath Singh agreed that if Kuldeep Bishnoi of Janhit Cogress, alliance partner of BJP allots his party's ticket to Vinod Sharma from Karnal Lok Sabha seat then BJP will not oppose the move.

Everything was ready. Vinod Sharma submitted his resignation from the Congress. And after that Kuldeep Bishnoi and Sharma were supposed to address a joint press conference.

Vinod Sharma's own publication has come out with a page one story describing it as a major development in state's politics. But the exposure of shady role played by BJP, forced Sushma Swaraj to oppose the move and she openly conveyed her resentment not only to Kuldeep Bishnoi but to Rajnath Singh also.

Emboldened by the stand of Sushma, State's party chief Ramvilas Sharma who was to get party ticket from Karnal, in case the seat was not to be given to alliance partner Janhit Congress launched frontal attack on Sharma citing his controversial past.

Notably Vinod Sharma had succeeded in planting stories that not only he would be made a union minister but his son will also get party ticket in Haryana Assembly polls. But now Vinod Sharma's fate hangs in balance.

Kuldeep Bishnoi was given dressing down by her mother Jasma Devi for his move to induct Vinod Shamra in his party.
