NRI woman who got involved is sex racket to marry the man she loved arrested by police
Crime never pays, is a well known saying. However shrewd the criminal might be but he or she cannot evade law for long. 26-year old NRI woman Ravneet Kaur perhaps did not pay heed to this saying which has proved to be eternally true.

Falling madly in love made her do unimaginably horrible things, the consequences of which she had never imagined. But now her dirty past has been exposed in front of her husband, Rohit, the love of her life. Rohit had been unaware of her criminal past so far.

Ravneet, who was born and brought up in Hong Kong, returned to India in 2012 to live with her grandmother. Soon, she began pursuing BBA from a private university in Punjab. That's when she met and fell in love with Rohit Sharma, who was pursuing MBA from the same university. However, Rohit's family was against their marriage as they were not earning enough.

Desperate to earn big money in a short span of time, she came in contact with one Akshat Sharma, who was kingpin of a sex racket. Ravneet was soon offered her first job by Akshat which fetched her Rs 12,000 in a month. Driven by greed for more and more money in the shortest possible time, she ran a huge sex racket with the help of several gang members. She lured several men ranging from doctors to engineers to builders. Later, she used to blackmail these men, earning in crores.

After being part of the racket for almost 3 years, Ravneet thought that she had earned enough money to marry Rohit. By this time she had been lavishly spending on buying expensive gifts for Rohit and his family. She quit the gang and the couple finally tied the knot in February, 2016.

Ravneet intended to lead a normal life post her marriage far from the shadow of her deplorable past, but her luck ran out after her gang got busted on December 24, 2016. Ravneet had been involved with the gang from 2013 to 2016. During this course of time, she blackmailed over 7 men, earning over Rs 1 crore in the process. She has also confessed to entering into physical relations with at least 3 of the victims.

Ravneet was arrested by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan police from Kota in Rajasthan on January 5, 2017.
