NTPC looks towards employees on its raising day
Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking NTPC celebrated its 37th raising day today. Addressing the employees on this occasion, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Arup Roy Choudhury said that the PSU is looking forward to their suggestions for improving the systems and processes in the company.

THE COUNTRY'S largest power producer also released a booklet namely, 'Speaking from the Heart' on this occasion. This booklet is aimed at providing platform to the NTPC employees through which they can share their thoughts, emotions and personal experiences in the form of stories.

“This initiative captures a rich data of fulfilling experiences of NTPC employees in a publication, which is a source of learning and encouragement to others. It also promotes the concept of storytelling in the organization,” NTPC said in a statement.

NTPC's CMD, Choudhury expressed his concerns over the various issues like fuel shortages, pending environmental clearances which are adversely impacting the growth targets of the company, as reported by Money Control.

He, however, added that sound financials and strong fundamentals will ensure the company's growth. The CMD said that by adding a record capacity in last two years, the Maharatna PSU had overcome the perception of slow capacity addition. He emphasized that employees' participation will be key in meeting the challenges and achieving a generation capacity of 1,28,000 MW by 2032.

The concerns expressed my Mr. Roy are genuine. NTPC is the largest producer of power, which is honestly doing its duty towards the nation. there are few who have forced the govt to become strict towards coal minning, which in turn is also impacting NTPC. I am of the view that coal supply to NTPC should be given top priority.
