NTPC-SAIL JV honoured for best safety practices
NTPC-SAIL Power Company Pvt Limited (NSPCL), Rourkela has won first prize in CII (Odisha) Award for 'Best Practices in Safety, Health & Environment'.
THE AWARD will acknowledge the vision and exemplary commitment the CEO of an organisation and his team has for environmental responsibility, concern for occupational health and safety of employees and society as a whole.

The objective of this award is to evaluate an organization’s interest towards the well being of its employees through adequate measures, not only for the regulatory requirements, but also as a part of the management’s commitment towards ensuring that the workforce is adequately protected through effective safety, health and environment measures.
NSPCL is a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Ltd and SAIL. At Rourkela, it owns and operates the 2x60 MW power plants and supplies the bulk of power to Rourkela Steel Plant.
