Obama sending 100 troops to Central Africa
Barack Obama, the President of the US, is scheduled to send around 100 troops to battle it out against Lord's Resistance Army, which is a rebel group in Southern Sudan and Uganda. Obama's main intention is to get hold of their leader, Joseph Kony.

THE PRESIDENT of the US, Barrack Obama has decided to send troops comprising of 100 soldiers in central Africa in order to help their battle against a rebel group, which is known as Lord's Resistance Army, and is also sometimes referred to as Lord’s Resistance Movement. It is considered to be a religious and a military group, which functions primarily in Uganda and Southern Sudan.

Obama has written a letter to the Congress stating the US troops would be acting as advisers in the battle against Lord's Resistance Army, as reported by usatoday.com. Their main objective is to get hold of their leader, Joseph Kony, who wants to establish a Theocratic government in Uganda. It will be interesting to find if the troops will have any success in getting hold of Joseph Kony, as the task is not going to be an easy one.

The troops would be well-equipped, but they are not going to start the battle, as Barack Obama says that they would only fight in self-defence. Barack Obama wants to reduce the number of innocent killing by the LRA, who has been killing many people in Sudan, raping women, and abducting them etc. This has been going on for some time now and Obama wants to put an end to it.

Has the President of the US taken a good step with the Presidential election coming closer? With the US economy in such a condition, would it not have been wise for Obama to take some measures towards improving the economy and gather some voting points rather than sending troops to Central Africa, which is sure to increase their spending, which is already on the higher end. But, if this initiative is taken by Obama brings relief to the people of Uganda and Sudan then it is worth each penny.
