Anyway I put the matter in my Twitter timeline especially addressing @DrGarekar and @Pandajay (Odisha MP). While @DrGarekar spread the message in Twitter world, @Pandajay instructed @bbsrctcpolice to take appropriate action.
I tried to know as to why was I subjected to such a threat. After a lot of introspection, I recalled that as an in charge of RVNL project of Haridashpur to Pardip, I had been asked by anonymous people to make payment as goon fee for working in Kendrapara. But I denied the demands saying that neither I take money nor do I pay money to anybody. Some people tried to threaten me further, but I didn't give in to their demands.
The person who had called me on my mobile simply said, "You would be no more for your kids.'' I replied back, ''I'm ready to face any kind of test to prove India as a democratic nation.''
Point is simple. I am a Citizen Journalist , active in social media and living in a metro city and still I am facing such threat calls. So just imagine, what would be the condition of other people, from a remote location where his versions may not even be heard. Death is a destined issue and none can cause it to happen on their will. But yes, the honest, dedicated persons never want to see mafia, criminals and murderers before he closes his eyes.
I was never afraid of death, and would not ever be in future. But as a strong supporter of Indian democracy, I would like the social media, citizen journalism websites and others to make every effort to make sure that justice prevails, even if I am killed by the mafia.
