Old Delhi- Gurgaon road shows the governance paralysis of MCG
Gurgaon, the revenue bowl of Hariyana, adopts thousands of migrants every year standing as the industrial hub of the state and Delhi/NCR. The concrete town, dressed with sky touching buildings, shopping malls and multinational companies, offers daily roti to lakhs of poor.Cleanness is the beauty of a city. But Gurgaon, despite being one of the most popular and well known city, suffers from many problems. Dust is the biggest problem that creates an illusion about the city's identity and rough road also follows.
The road that connects New Delhi and Gurgaon? from Kapashera Border to Gurgaon bus stop ? known as Old Delhi- Gurgaon road is a daily exercise for lakhs of people, those who run every day between these two cities and the most busiest traffic. This road is flanked by big corporate houses , but inspite of this the road is in shambles. Large crater like depressions are dotted on the entire road, which in turn adds to the dust problem of the city. This is just an example, like this many roads in the city, which are under construction. The work on the roads are in hibernation because of paralyzed governance.

When Merinews spoke to Raman Sharma, President, Progressive Gurgaon Forum, he said, ?Dust and rough road is a major issue for citizens of Gurgaon. They should complain on the official site of the Muncipal Corporation of Gurgaon and create an awareness on Facebook regarding this issue.? It is a long persisting problem that Gurgaon suffers and when it is about Old Delhi- Gurgaon road the respective councilor should complete the work as soon as possible discussing in the councilors' meeting, he added.

Speaking to Mayor of Gurgaon and Councillor Vimal Yadav, we got to know, ''1crore rupees has been sanctioned and the work will start very soon within a week.''

Talking about the daily problems of travel, Shrusti Chander, said, ''Recently, I saw a friend complaining about the dust and the bad roads in Gurgaon on Facebook and I couldn't agree with him more. The journey from home to office and back to home is tiring, stressful and harms the skin. I don't understand why the MCG had to remake a perfectly fine road. They started the job and now have stopped it midway, which has increased the pains of the commuters. Everyday after reaching office, I have to freshen up again, just to get the grim off the skin. This happens when I have my scarf and when I don't, then that is a completely different story. Just consider about Asthma patients, what the hell they suffer.''
